Split Ston was among the first towns in Europe to be built according to an urban planning project. Its 5 km long stone walls, constructed for the protection of the town, are especially interesting, awing visitors with their monumentality. Other attractions include the famous oyster and mussel farms and old salt pans where salt is still produced from seawater using traditional methods. We stay in Ston for one hour, then continuing our trip with the scenic Peljesac wine region. The Pelješac peninsula has been known for its excellent wines ever since ancient times. You will have an opportunity to taste some of the best wines of the region as well as learn about its production. We will make a visit to some of the best known wine cellars in the region. In the village of Prizdrina we will be greeted by the Bartulović family. Apart from the wine here you will be able to taste local food that will be served for lunch. At last, we will visit the Matuško family in the village of Potomje. The Matusko cellars are best known for their production of the excellent red wine Dingac, as well as the sweet wine Prosek.
Apart from the excellent wines and food, you will most certainly enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Adriatic coast and on the Pelješac peninsula.
